The Red Bull F1 team has been competing at the pinnacle of motor racing since 2005. Christian Horner, Helmut Marko, and, Adrian Newey have been the three main pillars around whom the team has revolved but Horner’s recent comment about Newey has not sat well with certain people on the Austrian team.
Christian Horner in a past interview, indicated that Red Bull can operate well without the services of Adrian Newey, this has not at all sat well with the Red Bull technical director, Pierre Wache, who has openly applauded Newey for the work he has done and is still doing at Red Bull.
While shedding light on the same in detail, he said, as reported by Motorsport;
He’s irreplaceable, yes – you cannot replace him! On a daily basis, he’s not part of our process. He’s more coming from the sideways and trying to help us or challenge us on different aspects of the team – it could be mechanical design, aero, or vehicle dynamics.
It has been a decade since Adrian Newey took a step back from the daily management of F1 technical affairs at Red Bull.

Looking at the reaction of Wache, he has made it known that while the 65-year-old is not involved in the day-to-day activities at Red Bull, he still brings immense value to the Milton-Keynes-based team with his experience. Moreover, has indicated that he is one of the main driving forces behind the team’s success.
Adrian Newey was the mastermind behind the mighty RB19
While Pierre Wache has left no stone unturned in appreciating the work Adrian Newey has done for Red Bull, the latter was one of the main figures behind the production of last year’s Red Bull livery. Without Newey’s contribution, the RB19 might not have proved as potent as it did.
In the hands of Max Verstappen, it proved a lethal weapon when none of the rival teams were able to watch their might. The 26-year-old, on his own, was able to amass a brilliant nineteen grand prix wins with his teammate, Sergio Perez, also chipping in with two for Red Bull.

Adrian Newey has a wealth of experience under his belt and the Haas boss, Guenther Steiner recently admitted that he would do just about anything to have him on his team. Newey is a highly sought-after person in F1 and Red Bull really can’t afford to let him go anytime soon.
