Red Bull quicker as compared to Ferrari in getting on top of ‘stiffer floors’

Red Bull's RB18
Red Bull has been in really good form this season and as per F1 journalist Peter Windsor, it is because the Milton-Keynes-based team has been able to better understand 2022’s stiffer floors and how to get the maximum out of them. According to him, the stiffer floors work better on Max Verstappen’s Red Bull as compared to Ferrari and the other cars on the current grid.
Peter Windsor after seeing Max Verstappen’s staunch defense this year has indicated that the Dutchman race after race is starting to appear as the 2022 World Champion.
While praising Max Windsor said, “Max was very good in defense as we’ve seen already this year, and managed to pull away as the two Ferrari drivers got involved in a little bit of a fracker between the two, which cost them a bit of time, possibly overheating the tires”.
The F1 journalist believes that Ferrari missed a trick in Austria by focussing on one-lap pace during FP1 and FP2 and that cost them the chance of chasing after the Dutchman during yesterday’s Sprint race.

Red Bull was in a better position for the race as they did long runs during the session before the Sprint race and that came in handy for Verstappen and Co.
Peter Windsor: It seems to have affected Ferrari more than Red Bull

Windsor believes the stiffer floors for the 2022 season have had a bad impact on how Ferrari wanted to run its F1-75 during the season, and while talking about it has said, “Beyond that, you’ve got to assume that the Ferrari perhaps took a little bit more time to get into a sweet spot with the floors being a little bit stiffer now, and the FIA scrutiny is looking a little bit more in that area.”
“It seems to have affected Ferrari more than Red Bull, who just had the most perfect race car as it hit the road. Verstappen didn’t even go out for the first twenty minutes of FP1, and there he was brilliantly quick on the soft tire on one lap. Verstappen is looking like the world champion, isn’t he?”

The F1 journalist is convinced that Red Bull has got a Championship-winning package this season and feels that the team is ready for any type of challenge that might come their way going ahead into the season. Red Bull is fast and Max Verstappen is hungry to win the second world title of his career.
Is Red Bull as strong as Peter Windsor has portrayed them to be this season, Moreover, can Max Verstappen win his second Drivers Championship by the end of 2022?
