Report: Charles Leclerc “not involved” in the sudden departure of Mattia Binotto from Ferrari F1

Mattia Binotto left the Ferrari F1 Team recently, and it has come out that, Charles Leclerc was in no way involved with the sudden departure of the Italian.

As per the reports, it is a common belief that the management at Ferrari was solely responsible for the departure of Mattia Binotto.

Last month, it was made known that Binotto and Leclerc had not spoken to each other for some time since the end of the 2022 F1 season.

Moreover, the Monegasque was in talks with the team over the mistakes of this year’s campaign, but in no way, he indicated that he wanted Binotto to leave the Italian outfit.

After Binotto’s departure, rumors were making the rounds that Leclerc had a part to play in the 53-year-olds departure. However, the Monegasque does not have any power within the team to speak about Binotto.

Mattia Binotto was the one who decided to bring Charles Leclerc, on board the Ferrari F1 team before the start of the 2019 F1 campaign.

As Mattia Binotto has left Ferrari, the team’s focus has now shifted to bringing a new man in, to lead it into the future years of the sport.

The Maranello-based team needs a new Team Principal and they are also in, dire need of, finding someone to fill the position of technical director on the team as both roles were previously held by Binotto.

As per the latest, Ferrari has narrowed its shopping list to a mere five names that are all in with a chance to fill the void on the team.

However, as things stand, the Italian outfit is yet to come out with anything definitive regarding the team’s current stance.
