Resurfaced images of reigning F1 champion Max Verstappen playing American football go viral after Super Bowl
The Kansas City Chiefs emerge victorious at the Super Bowl LVII and hence amidst this, images of Max Verstappen's previous attempt at the sport resurfaces.

The NFL Super Bowl was played recently with the Kansas City Chiefs emerging victorious in the matchup against San Francisco 49ers. Amongst multiple F1 drivers watching the Super Bowl, celebrities like Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey, and others were present at the intense matchup between the two teams. Hence, amidst this, images of the F1 maestro Max Verstappen‘s attempt at playing American Football resurfaces online.
Red Bull Racing’s official Instagram handle posted multiple pictures of the reigning world champion enjoying the sport. Verstappen was donning a Formula 1-styled Super Bowl jersey with his number ’33’ on the kit. Additionally, the F1 driver was also wearing a Red Bull-designed helmet while playing the sport. The Dutchman also steered through multiple training equipment for the sport.
The then 20-year-old took multiple rounds of throwing and catching the ‘egg-shaped ball’ which he later asserted was weird to him. The driver trained alongside the Del Valle Cardinals High School team in Austin, Texas. Verstappen played American Football before the US GP set in Texas. Alongside the Dutchman, his former teammate Daniel Ricciardo was also present on the grounds.

The former teammate to the Dutchman at Red Bull Daniel Ricciardo was also present back then trying their hands at American Football. The two threw and caught the ball, where the now world champion had emerged victorious. Verstappen won the matchup by one point over Ricciardo. The two did some evasion drills and throwing and receiving alongside the High School team.
Ricciardo hilariously commented on his form while playing the game. The Australian accepted that his kicking and throwing the ball wasn’t the best keeping in mind Verstappen’s performance. However, the Honey Badger did not fail to acknowledge the fact that his catching was ‘OK’. The two had a fun time back then trying their hands at American Football.
Hence, as the Chiefs emerge victorious this season, F1 drivers Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon congratulate the match winners. Apart from this, Scuderia Ferrari also shared a hilarious meme with the image of the Super Bowl and their car launch. Hence, the entire F1 community was also highly excited about the Super Bowl matchup.
