Sebastian Vettel is saying sayonara to Formula One at the end of the 2022 F1 season and former F1 racing driver Martin Brundle has praised the four-time World Champion for having a stupendous career in the sport.

Brundle being a former F1 driver is very well aware of the toll that the sport takes on a person’s mental and physical well-being and thus has huge respect for the unprecedented things that Sebastian Vettel has done in the sport.

Ever since Sebastian Vettel’s announcement of retiring from F1, the Aston Martin team was working really hard in the background to get a suitable replacement and they have recruited none other than the former two-time world Champion Fernando Alonso.

Aston Martin has done a mega job by recruiting Fernando Alonso as he is driving at his absolute best this season and it is going to help immensely in bringing the level of the team up next year.

The 41-year-old’s skills behind the wheel are still sharp as ever and to replace a World Champion with another World Champion, the Silverstone-based team deserves a lot of credit.

However, when it comes to out-and-out speed, Aston Martin is nowhere near the top teams and is struggling in the bottom half of the standings this season.

If they want to keep Alonso happy during 2023, then they have got only one option and that is to provide him with a car that would be able to at least challenge the top teams.

However, it is easier said than done. Would Aston Martin be able to provide Fernando Alonso with a potent car next season?
