The four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel raced for Aston Martin for two seasons [2021–2022) and retired from Formula One after the conclusion of the 2022 season. Vettel returned to the F1 paddock at the 2023 Japanese GP. Due to this cameo, fans started speculating about his possible return to the sport he loves the most. There are also reports indicating the German racer returned to the Motorsports via the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC).
The 2024 WEC will see an increase in the number of big-name manufacturers. Several ex-F1 drivers are also set to compete at the events next year, and Vettel is considered one of the possible entrants. Vettel is still not clear on his ambitions regarding his return to Formula 1, but admitted in a recent interview that he doesn’t unretire from racing after just one year,
But the former Red Bull has refused to rule out a potential return to the F1 as well. He saidas reported by, lastwordonsports.com, “You can never rule out something like that [returning to F1]. But at some point, the time will be over.” He also claimed that he is getting more time to spend with his family and children: “I have the privilege of spending more time with my family and my children; that is a priority.”
Vettel also added that his age was clearly not the reason for this retirement. He said, “My age wasn’t the issue, and it was my decision to draw the line.” Vettel said that after ‘rediscovering’ the world around him, Formula 1 became ‘smaller. He said, “Just as I have rediscovered the world in recent years, Formula 1, no matter how big it may be, has always become smaller.”

Plans of Sebastian Vettel may include being an environmentalist.
Sebastian Vettel clearly has a lot of interests outside Formula 1. This is clear from his recent appearance at the Japanese GP. He created a ‘bee hotel’ at Turn 2 in the Suzuka circuit. The curb was also painted a special black and yellow. All the teams on the grid helped Vettel achieve his ambition.
Vettel’s appearance in public has tended to have a very definitive environmental mindset. At the UK’s Goodwood Festival of Speed in July, Vettel drove a sustainably fueled McLaren MP4/7 and Williams FW14B up the famous hill climb. Earlier this month, he drove his championship-winning RB7 with the same carbon-neutral fuel.
Lewis Hamilton also commented on Vettel’s emergence as an environmentalist. He commented about how it was great that he found ‘his purpose’ after his retirement. He also added that there’s barely anyone in the history of sports who has done such a deed after retiring.
