The inaugural Formula 1 Heineken Silver Las Vegas Grand Prix is poised to take its place as the penultimate race of the 2023 season. With access to witness the race limited to the fortunate few in the grandstands, the projected average ticket price of $1667 underlines the race is set to be one of the most expensive races to attend. Formula 1 owner Liberty Media’s substantial investment of over $500 million is anticipated to yield substantial returns from this extravagant and exhilarating venture.
Las Vegas, having secured its position on the F1 calendar until 2032, and The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority is paying a staggering $19.5 million price tag to sponsor the race for three years. With this being the third F1 race in the United States, it shows how much the sport has grown over the last few years.
Amidst the 2023 season, Sergio Pérez is in the shadows of his teammate and championship leader, Max Verstappen. While Pérez has clinched victory twice in the twelve races so far, his standings are a testament to Verstappen’s dominance.
