Sergio Perez expects massive support in Miami: “I’m sure there will be a lot of Latin Americans and Mexicans at the race”
Sergio Perez, driving for Red Bull Racing, has high hopes for the weekend in Miami. Since Mexico, not being far away, he expects support from Latin Americans and Mexicans to be present this race week. He also expects to exhibit good racing.
“ I’m sure there will be a lot of Latin Americans and Mexicans at the race. So I hope to get a lot of support from there.”
Mexican, impressed with the city also talks about his thoughts about settling there in the future, “One day I might even live there! It’s a good market for Formula 1”.
The last race brought back the energy Red Bull needed after they finished 1-2. They also gained 1 out of the maximum points a team can earn over the weekend. And managed to cut down the difference to Ferrari to only 11 points.
With Checo on third in the Drivers Championship, not much behind his teammate, he hopes to get much more close to the top at the Miami Grand Prix.
How are Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen going through the weekend?
Sergio Perez along with his teammate Max Verstappen have their own plans over the weekend. The Mexican thanked his team for the work they are putting in to make this race another complete success for them. Making sure the drivers keep going through the busy week so they can fully focus on the race ahead.
“I liked the new circuit in the simulator. It could potentially be a good place to race with those long straights. I think finding the right downforce level is going to be the challenge for all the teams,” says Checo in a press report by Red Bull.
What we can expect over the first Miami weekend is to have yet another race full of battles. With Red Bull and Ferrari fighting for the lead for a while, we should expect a Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen battle up top.
