Sergio Perez looks to be knee-deep in trouble as SHOCKING analysis shows massive gap between him and Max Verstappen
It is getting harder and harder for Sergio Perez to keep his seat in f1
The Mexican racing driver, Sergio Perez finds himself in a tricky situation with the latest analysis from olbg showing that checo is qualifying 0.987 seconds behind his team mate Max Verstappen, which for sure doesn’t meet the efficiency requirements of the Team Principal – Christian Horner.
Its an undeniable fact that Checo has caused some drastic errors this season which currently places him 125 points behind his teammate. In an era of Red Bull Dominance, when the car is sure shot excellent as proved by Max Verstrappen in almost every race, the question arises; what is checo doing wrong?
Of course the Mexican driver is under pressure to keep up with his three-time world championship winning teammate, but it seems the pressure has taken a toll on him. Out of the twelve races this season, so far, Sergio Perez has won only two with Max Verstappen acing the other ten. Driving for Red Bull requires certain expectations to be met and the immense difference in qualifying average has put Sergio Perez in a tight spot.
Former British Racing Driver, Johnny Herbert has called the situation alarming and believes that this drastic average qualifying difference is bound to cause Sergio Perez his seat. He says, “Red Bull know they’ll need someone that will be consistently at the top when the other teams get more competitive.”

Is Checo losing his seat at Red Bull to Lando Norris?
With Sergio Perez’s contract with Oracle Red Bull coming to an after the 2024 season, it has been assumed that Lando Norris of McLaren will be contending for the seat.
Norris has definitely proved himself this season, especially after his outstanding performance at the Spanish GP, earning him a rightly deserved P3. With Norris’s drastic improvement along the season, Red Bull is obviously keeping an eye on him.
Sergio Perez had a great start this season, but as the pressure increases he seems to be unable to keep up with his teammate and with the increased average differences in qualifying and not up to the mark performances, he should clear his head and show some significant improvement if he doesn’t want to lose his seat.
