Toto Wolff has made it known that his wife Susie Wolff was deserving of an F1 birth for the Williams team back in 2014. Moreover, has indicated that her opportunity was snatched away in favor of Felipe Massa as the British team didn’t dare to choose her over the Brazilian.

Susie Wolff was Williams’s test driver in 2014 when the Brazilian was in his twelfth full season for the Woking-based F1 team. Mrs. Wolff was allowed to drive in free practice during the British Grand Prix and she became the first woman to do so since 1992. Moreover, she finished 15th in that practice session.

In the current scenario, Jamie Chadwick is doing really well in the W series but has found it difficult to get a birth in the pinnacle of motor racing despite her links with a few teams in F1.

Today, for one reason or the other, it is extremely difficult for Women to get into F1 and Toto Wolff feels that it is just not realistic and does not see the situation changing in the next 10 years.

While stressing about it Wolff said, “I’m sure there are girls out there that can make it on merit.”
