“Stop posting thirst traps, start building fast cars” – F1 fans troll Ferrari for releasing Carlos Sainz’s ice bath clips after poor Hungarian GP Qualifying

After a miserable qualifying in Hungary, the Scuderia Ferrari team is facing backlash over its Sunday early tweet on social media. The admin has posted a clip of Carlos Sainz shirtless taking an ice bath which the drivers often take to calm and recover their muscles. Ferrari’s Twitter account faced backlash as the fans suggested the team should rather focus on their performance than pleasing the fans of the drivers.

The team has been on a downslope of performance ever since the 2022 season ended and the fans suggest it is the repetition of Vettel’s era in Ferrari. The Ferrari’s drivers had a bad qualifying with Sainz disqualified in Q2 and Leclerc only managing p6. Ferrari has provided so many upgrades in the past including Monaco and Silverstone but so far the team has come short of Mercedes and McLaren.

Ferrari made a huge commitment amid its problems to keep their drivers amid new rumours about the exit of both Leclerc and Sainz. The fans have urged severe steps to be taken to make the car more competitive. The team should prioritise their performance this year than tapping the thirst trap of the Leclerc and Sainz fans. It is getting embarrassing for Scuderia given they are not even in the top 3 of this year’s Constructor Standings.

Ferrari is now nowhere near the pace of Red Bull, Mercedes and the newly found life of McLaren. Fans around the world are urging that the company should take the racing business seriously and make more efforts to come to winning ways. Some even compared the struggling face of Sainz(in an ice bath) to their reaction when they see Ferrari’s SF23 on the tracks.
