‘Take my money’: F1 fans lose their minds over announcement of ‘F1 Arcade’ simulator venue
F1 Arcade Venue
Formula 1 has announced the launching of a ‘premium F1 experiential venue’, called the ‘F1 Arcade’. The location will be London, on November 24 at One New Change, St Pauls. The arcade is meant to cater to a large demographic, and it will have 60 motion simulators, in addition to beverages and food.
In the announcement post for the arcade, F1’s Managing Director of Commercial, Brandon Snow said: “We are very excited to introduce F1 Arcade, a brand-new premium entertainment venue that everyone can enjoy. F1 Arcade is an ambitious project that will allow people to get even closer to the Formula 1 experience by giving guests the chance to get behind the wheel of bespoke racing simulators in stylish surroundings with a high-quality hospitality offering.”
This is certainly an exciting prospect for fans of the sport, and this is the first venue of its kind, and one endorsed officially. While it was not mentioned, it can be assumed that depending on its success, there may be more venues in the future, which will only delight the fans further. More than it already has.
Fan: “Should’ve named [F1 Arcade] drinking and driving”
F1 Arcade is the brainchild of Adam Breeden, who also chipped in: “We are thrilled to offer the first of these premium and exclusive entertainment experiences right in the heart of London. It has been my most ambitious project to date, taking everything we know about competitive socialising venues and adding the strength of the Formula 1 brand.”
It is the first venue of its kind, and while it does have the potential to be expensive, some fans will still be willing to splash the cash regardless.
As mentioned before, the venue will combined drinks and cuisine with the simulators, something a fan used to suggest a potential renaming of it.
And the announcement of the venue has been taken very well by the fans. How could it not? There is perhaps no greater joy for an F1 fan than to be able to ‘simulate’ what the experience of being inside a Formula 1 car is.
Private bookings for the venue have already opened, and public bookings will start next month. There will be a long queue for that, and as such, there will be a waiting list.
