“The Ferrari looked very strong today,” Sergio Perez is ‘immensely worried’ after seeing Ferrari’s raw pace in Hungary

The Friday Practice sessions are done and dusted and Sergio Perez after his outing has given an insight into what he made of Ferrari’s pace and also talked about his own outing.
Ahead of the Hungarian event, it was believed that the Maranello-based team was going to be too strong for Red Bull, and after looking at the practice sessions of Friday, it does seem to be the case.
Red Bull was a bit off the pace of Ferrari all afternoon and Perez while dwelling on his outing in the RB18 said, “We were trying. It was a day of trying different bits to get comfortable with the car, and I think we got a good understanding of the day. Hopefully, tomorrow we will be able to show what we learned today and that translates into the high fuel and low fuel pace.”
After having a tough Friday outing, the Mexican believes Red Bull has made a good step forwards and is confident that tomorrow will be more productive for the Milton-Keynes-based team.

Red Bull during the Free Practice 2 session finished 4th with Max Verstappen whereas Sergio Perez managed to linger his way to P9 with a time of 1:19:397.
Sergio Perez believes rain could play a crucial role at the Hungaroring

At the end of Friday’s Practice, clouds were starting to appear in the distance, and as per predictions, it is believed that Saturday is going to be wet all day.
If Qualifying takes place under wet conditions then Perez feels that he and Red Bull would be able to make up ground on the pacey Ferrari team. While dwelling over the predicament Perez said, “Certainly the Ferrari looked very strong today. I think they are very fast. Hopefully, tomorrow some rain so it can be a bit more mixed. We hope to be up there tomorrow,”
The 33-year-old wants to be at the front end of the grid after tomorrow’s qualifying and ardently feels that if conditions are wet, then it would help in mixing up the pack and, on a personal note, would help in propelling himself to the top end of the grid.

The Ferrari team is eyeing a 1-2 finish at the Hungaroring and if Red Bull is to spoil their plans then both Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez would have to bring their A-game during tomorrow’s all-important qualifying session.
