“There is no exit clause” : Helmut Marko confirms Pierre Gasly is staying at AlphaTauri for 2023

The Formula One season is only halfway through, but teams are already hard at work planning for next year. Because there is a vacancy at Alpine, there has been speculation that AlphaTauri driver Pierre Gasly may occupy it. That, according to Helmut Marko, is unlikely.
Alpine was required to comply with the news that Fernando Alonso was exiting for Aston Martin at the end of the season a little before the summer break. It then wished to recruit Oscar Piastri, but the Australian driver appears to be with McLaren. As a result, Alpine may need to search for another replacement.

Helmut Marko shuts down Pierre Gasly speculations
The name of Pierre Gasly came up for being a possible replacement for Fernando Alonso at Alpine. The Frenchman’s deal at AlphaTauri has already been extended, but it includes an early retirement provision. Gasly would have a new chance to demonstrate himself at Alpine.
Red Bull Racing advisor Helmut Marko informs that such a stipulation does not exist. As a result, he can confidently state that Gasly will be revered at AlphaTauri in 2023. “There is no exit clause for Gasly. There wasn’t one before the summer break and there won’t be one after the summer break,” said Marko.
The Frenchman is currently placed at P13 on the World Drivers’ Standings with an accumulated 16 points. He’s placed right behind McLaren’s Daniel Ricciardo and ahead of Aston Martin’s Sebastian Vettel, who’s retiring from the motorsport at the end of this season.
