Lewis Hamilton, the Mercedes Formula One driver, has been left in utter disbelief after hearing about the killing of a black rapper named Chris Kaba at the hands of the Met police in London.
The unfortunate event has sent shockwaves all across the World, and Lewis Hamilton, who in recent times has been leading the charge for the Black Lives Matter campaign is distraught by the actions of the police.
The Brit via his Instagram handle has given his take on the demise of the black rapper and has written, “This is devastating to hear happening in the UK, this is not OK.”
Considering the outrage that the incident has caused Worldwide, a full-blown investigation into the death of Chris Kaba has been launched by the police in London.
Chris Kaba was a 24-year-old lad who was driving his Audi when he was hemmed in by two police cars in the residential street of Kirkstall gardens, where one round was fired by the police that proved enough to take the life of the young rapper.
Lewis Hamilton has led the charge of the Black Lives Matter Campaign for quite some time
The Black Lives Matter campaign was founded in 2013 but has picked up a massive pace after the level of crime that black people have become victims of in recent years.
Moreover, in order to support the cause, Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes ran the black-colored livery during the 2021 campaign of Formula One.
Lewis Hamilton who is to date the only black driver in the sport is well aware of the harsh realities that black people have to go through in today’s modern times and after hearing about the Chris Keba case is left saddened by the incident.
