The Mercedes Pride Star Logo
With the beginning of Pride month, that is June, Mercedes updated their silver logo to a shiny one, reflecting off all the colors of the LGBTQ+ flag in the most aesthetic way possible. Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton are known to be supporting human rights for a long time, and various reflections of the same can be seen on their car, Lewis’ helmet, etc.
In addition to Mercedes’ logo update on all of their social media, they recently also announced something additional that they would be doing on their F1 cars for a period of time.

Mercedes announced on Twitter that for the next three races, the team would be putting on their “Pride Star” logo on their W13 F1 cars for the next three races to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community, and to raise awareness about Pride month.
They also stated that alongside the Pride star, the team would also be running a lot of inside and outside programmes as a part of their Accelerate 25 programme to make Mercedes a more diverse and inclusive team. Fans reacted in a positive way to the same.

Lewis & George to have the Pride star on their helmets.
In one of their articles, Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 team also stated that both Lewis Hamilton and George Russell would have the Pride star featured on their helmet for the next three races as well; Azerbaijan, Canada, and Great Britain, to celebrate the same.
“As part of our Accelerate 25 programme, displaying the Pride star represents a visual expression of our commitment to creating a more diverse and inclusive team. We firmly believe that promoting a culture in which our team members can freely express their personality and identity will result in a stronger and more performant team,” the team stated.
Mercedes are currently trying to keep up in the races after a lot of porpoising and aerodynamic issues in the car, and currently stand 3rd in the championship with 134 points.
