Toto Wolff celebrates his 52nd birthday with Sebastian Vettel and George Russell at Bahrain’s Sakhir circuit

Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff turned 52 on January 12 this year. The Austrian billionaire headed to Bahrain for a special birthday celebration. Former F1 champion Sebastian Vettel and the current Mercedes driver George Russell also joined the 52-year-old on this trip to the Middle East nation.
The group took on Bahrain’s Sakhir circuit and had a fun karting session around the circuit. Images of the crew were shared on George Russell’s Instagram. The Briton wrote in the caption that the crew needed to join once again to do another such karting session. Hence, it can be declared that the group enjoyed racing around the Sakhir circuit on Toto Wolff’s birthday.

Additionally, Ferrari Team Principal, Fred Vasseur was also a part of the crew. All of them wore orange overalls while racing around the circuit to ensure safety in case of any contingency. The entire group made Wolff’s 52nd birthday special by joining him in this amazing outing.
Toto Wolff displays excitement ahead of the 2024 season of Formula 1
After putting the mediocre 2023 season behind, Toto Wolff and Mercedes are actively looking ahead for a better start for the 2024 season. The team has been working rigorously in an attempt to improve the challenge for the following season and ensure championship contention for the British drivers of the German team. Hence, over the break, the Austrian boss also showcased his excitement for the next season.

Wolff asserted that he was super excited for the following season and the lap times for the races would showcase the great job done by Brackley in developing the W15. The 52-year-old also insisted that the team had taken proactive steps to close the gap from the rival teams down the season and maintain a comfortable spot in the championship standings.

The 2024 season would reveal a lot of changes to the Mercedes F1 car. Wolff had previously also commented that the German constructor would take a ‘conventional’ approach while building the challenger and hence bring out better results compared to this season.
