Max Verstappen recently threw a party in Monaco to celebrate his upcoming 25th birthday, and while there were quite a decent number of his friends attending the party, one notable absentee from the big bash was none other than his teammate, Sergio Perez.

Sergio Perez was nowhere to be seen and as per reports, it is believed that the Mexican decided against attending Verstappen’s party because he wanted to spend more time with his family.

Max Verstappen’s birthday falls on the 30th of September, and considering during that time it’s the Singapore Grand Prix, the Dutchman decided to move up his birthday celebrations.

Since the last few races, Perez hasn’t been able to stay close to Verstappen in terms of pace and has come under the radar of the critics, and has also received a bit of criticism from his team.

The 2022 Formula One season has got six races remaining on the calendar and while Max Verstappen is leading the pack handsomely with a mammoth 335 points to his name, Sergio Perez, on the other hand, is struggling and is in third place in the Drivers Championship.

The Monaco Grand Prix of the current campaign was the place where Perez was really able to show what he can do behind the wheel of the RB18, however, since the team has made a slight tweak in its car, the 32-year-old’s performances have taken a major dip.

Given the problems that Sergio Perez has faced this year, some people believe that something is brewing within the Red Bull camp, and it could prove catastrophic for the Mexican.
