UK Government hails Red Bull for 2023 F1 season victory touting it a ‘sporting achievement that cannot go without comment’
Red Bull had arguably the most dominant Formula One season of all time in 2023, winning 21 of the 22 races scheduled.
Red Bull and Greg Smith MP from the UK Parliament
Red Bull’s extremely dominant 2023 campaign reached far and wide throughout the world, the record-breaking season making headlines. Red Bull, already a large brand on its own, won the championship in such dominant fashion that it reached even the UK Government.
Red Bull, the Milton Keyes-based team, was commended by Greg Smith, MP over the constituency that houses the RB factory. The UK Parliament hailed the champion team for their achievements over the 2023 Formula 1 season, and proposed a debate to discuss the value of motorsport and its significance, too.
Red Bull’s team principal Christian Horner, a Briton himself, was also congratulated by the members present. Horner took Red Bull to its seventh Drivers’ Championship and sixth Constructors’ Championship in a season where they won 21 of the 22 races up for grabs.
Red Bull’s Max Verstappen reveals dedication required to win at his level
Max Verstappen set and broke so many records in 2023 its hard to keep count of which records are still intact. Verstappen won the championship as the first person ever to cross 500 points with a whopping 575, more than double his teammate Sergio Perez‘s tally in second place.
The Dutchman has been hyperfocused on achieving this level of success since he was a young karting champion, being trained by his father Jos Verstappen. The three-time champion revealed the level of concentration required to compete at the level he does. Verstappen said that the slightest background noises or disturbances in the car could disrupt performance drastically, and should be eliminated immediately.
I'll pay close attention to what's going on behind the scenes. The slightest background noise or problems must be stopped. A community of interests as large as Red Bull certainly doesn't work otherwise.Max Verstappen said in an interview with Blick.
The 26-year-old is going into the 2024 season with 34 races won of the last 44, and having won the last three championships. Verstappen will be looking to complete the near-impossible feat of finishing a clean-sweep of all races won in the season, aided by Red Bull’s advantage in car development for the upcoming season with the RB20.
