Red Bull is currently in the lead of both the Championships and the upgrades that they have brought so far in the 12 rounds have worked well on their RB18.

However, Helmut Marko has recently stated that the Milton-Keynes-based team is not going to bring any major upgrades to their car after the summer break. The Austrian has indicated that there will be upgrades but not anything substantial.

Red Bull is ahead of Ferrari at the moment but the Maranello-based team has shown raw pace this season and has on many occasions been able to go tow to tow with the Austrian team.

Ferrari’s problem this season has been the reliability of its car and on occasion the bad decision-making of its drivers. All this has played in the hands of Red Bull and thus they have managed to build a significant gap between themselves and Ferrari.

However, despite what has gone down in the season so far, the team cannot take things lightly as the Italian team has got the firepower to make a strong comeback this season. Moreover, both Red Bull drivers are to face a grid penalty and this can help the Ferrari team in making some ground on Red Bull.

The upcoming Grand Prix is at the Hungaroring where it is expected that Ferrari is going to be immensely strong and Christian Horner while talking about the predicament said, “Budapest is a circuit that should be more to the Ferrari’s liking. Only after the summer break will there be more races that suit us.”

Horner and Co. are not optimistic about the team’s chances in Hungary and it will be interesting to see how they will cope with Ferrari’s challenge.

Moreover, Helmut Marko has indicated that more upgrades are getting added to the RB18 and that there are still plenty in the pipeline. While stressing about it, Marko said, “The upgrades won’t be as big anymore, but there will still be updates well into the second half of the season.”

There is just one race left before the start of the month-long summer break and considering what the Red Bull adviser has said, it is going to be anybody’s guess how much of a threat the RB18 is going to pose when Formula one will return after the summer break.
