“Verstappen’s pace has got everyone completely psyched out,” Peter Windsor surprised by the lap times of the reigning world champion

Max Verstappen

Max Verstappen is all set to start his race from the back of the grid. The championship leader put up a great show in the practice sessions of the Belgian Grand Prix. RB 18 feels promising around Spa with a great pace in its hand, Peter Windsor expects Max Verstappen to rule around the park in Qualifying and the main Race. Max was P3 in the first practice session but was P1 in the second practice session ahead of his rival from nearly a second to spear.

Peter Windsor a journalist was shocked by the pace and lap times Max Verstappen managed to put on the board after his drive in the practice sessions. Not only the journalist but the whole paddock seems shocked by Max’s pace and form he has been carrying around this season. Verstappen currently is leading the championship and will try his level best to end up ahead of Charles Leclerc as the Ferrari driver will start near Max from the back of the grid.

“I guess starting P19 might be better than starting P20 though at the moment Max Verstappen’s pace has got everyone completely psyched out,” said Peter.

Charles Leclerc himself will be starting at the back of the grid. He has been lacking a lot of luck throughout the season but will try his best to maximize every result he could from the very next race. With Max starting behind things could turn out to be carnage if nothing else. Charles would have been much closer to Max but after the pace, he witnessed things are not really in his hand as of now.

“Wow, that’s quick,” said Charles on the radio.

Max Verstappen is currently leading the world championship with 80 points. Sergio Perez is on the third of the championship table, just a few points behind Charles. With Perez starting from the front things could shuffle on the championship table after the Belgian GP.
