The seven-time F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton is a big-time supporter of multiple social issues ongoing in the world. He actively fights for LGBTQ+ rights, increasing women’s involvement within the sport, etc. During the ongoing 2024 season, the Briton was spotted at a school in Kuala Lumpur interacting with students.
Lewis Hamilton was on a ‘surprise’ visit to the SMK Seri Keramat in Kuala Lumpur ahead of the Australian GP. The main reason behind the surprise visit was to celebrate Petronas’ 50th Anniversary and the visit was also a part of the ‘Towards Sustainable Communities’ programe. Petronas has been a long-time sponsor of Hamilton’s team Mercedes. Alongside Lewis Hamilton were other crew members of Mercedes who also partook in the event.

The driver was spotted spending some quality time with the teachers and students of the school in Kuala Lumpur. However, the driver or the team hasn’t revealed much information about this surprise visit. Regardless, the students and teachers were surprised to see the Formula 1 maestro visit their school as a part of a program. Hence, Lewis Hamilton continues to make great strides in being a great person overall.
Lewis Hamilton’s Mercedes W15 has a disadvantage at high-speed circuits
The 2024 campaign for Mercedes hasn’t been going great so far with the 39-year-old lacking faith in the chassis. The team is currently in the fourth spot in the constructors’ championship following a mediocre performance in the initial two races. Hence, Lewis Hamilton asserted how the next few races will be challenging for the constructor. Additionally, the Briton claimed that all the high-speed circuits would be met with challenges for Brackley in Formula 1.

It's going to be challenging in these next races. I think all the high-speed circuits we are going to be at a disadvantage with the package we currently have.Hamilton said, as reported by Autosport.com.
However, the seven-time world champion also acknowledged the positive points of the disappointing W15 challenger. Hamilton mentioned how the car performed relatively well in the low and medium-speed sectors. The Briton at times felt that he was racing in a different category while driving at high speeds alongside other drivers on the grid.
Hence, Brackley aims at potentially scoring well towards the latter half of the 2024 season. The team is currently desperately working on their form before the upcoming Australian GP. Mercedes needs to pick up their pace and score points early on to stay in contention for a great finish in the constructors’ championship.
