Charles Leclerc had a subpar year in 2023 as he pulled up in the P5 spot on the World Championship Standings after tying with Fernando Alonso. Although the Ferrari racer was expected to attain at least one Grand Prix victory in the recently-ended season, he failed to achieve that feat while his teammate Carlos Sainz did. Leclerc got 6 podium finishes in total, and finished his 2023 run in Formula 1 with 206 points to his name. And after spending the grueling season racing in his SF-23, he decided to travel to Abu Dhabi for some quality time.

As the F1 off-season is currently underway, Charles Leclerc has flown to the Middle East with his girlfriend Alexandra Saint-Mleux and brother Arthur Leclerc. Arthur is currently in Formula 2 where he ended up with 1 podium win in 2023 and got the 15th spot overall. Charles, Alexandra, and Arthur was spotted by the paparazzi as they made their way at the Dubai airport. Charles turned up in a navy blue t-shirt, blue jeans and a pair of shades that hung from his neckline while Arthur donned the very famous Ferrari red. Alexandra wore a loose-fitted white top with a pair of blue pants.

While Charles went to Abu Dhabi for some time during the ongoing F1 2023 season break, he did not stay there for the new Year’s Eve celebrations. This can be said for certain since he posted a photo of him sporting a pair of orange-brown shades and captioned it, saying that he was in Portugal when the photo was taken.

This picture was taken in the very first few hours of 2024 somewhere in Portugal. Happy new year everyone.

Former Ferrari engineer has pinpointed why Charles Leclerc still has not gotten the F1 Championship title

Luca Baldisseri, one of Ferrari engineers from the team’s wildly successful Michael Schumacher era, recently talked about why Charles Leclerc has not achieved the glory of the World Championship that he was promised when he signed up with the Scuderia. The Monegasque is a talented young racer who gave hopes to all the Tifosis when they saw him attain brilliant victories in Belgium, Brazil, etc. But yet, Charles always manages to fall short of contesting Max Verstappen for the World Championship.

I’m the guy for Vasseur, for Leclerc, for Sainz, and for everyone who works within the racing department. But they have a problem. And this problem has a first and last name. Max Verstappen. Every generation has its symbol. [Ayrton] Senna, Schumi, [Lewis] Hamilton. Now it is the Dutchman’s turn.
Baldisseri said about Max Verstappen’s prowess, via PlanetF1.

In other news, Carlos Sainz, the Ferrari driver who entered the team in 2022, has already made giant splashes because of his talent. He outscored Leclerc in his very first season with the Scuderia, and in 2023, he became the only non-Red Bull driver to win a Grand Prix. And at a recent interview, he also said that if they are ever put up against each other, he would not shy away from ‘biting’ Leclerc.
