Charles Leclerc qualified on the front row for the Brazilian GP. Unfortunately, the Monegasque driver did not make it to the start of the race. Leclerc shocked the paddock after crashing his car into barriers on the formation lap. The 26-year-old expressed his frustration on the team radio right after the incident.

Leclerc was right behind pole-sitter Max Verstappen as the cars headed to the grid for the start of the race. However, disaster struck as the Monegasque driver binned the SF23 into the wall. Subsequently, all hopes of the Tifosi came crashing down. The 26-year-old mentioned that he lost the hydraulics of his car which led to this incident.

Moreover, a disappointed Charles Leclerc ranted to the Ferrari pit wall. The Monegasque driver questioned his luck or the lack there of. The 26-year-old asked (as reported by @Formularacers_ on X), “Why the f*** am I so unlucky? Charles Leclerc’s bad luck continues

This is not the first time Leclerc has suffered from bad luck before the start of a race. The Monegasque driver was forced to retire his car before the start of the 2021 Monaco GP due to a faulty gearbox. Leclerc had qualified on pole position for his home race but couldn’t even see the five red lights go out in front of his friends and family.

The Brazilian GP will be another race Leclerc would want to forget. The 26-year-old had planned to fight Verstappen for the race victory at Interlagos despite being slower than the Red Bull RB-19. However, it seems that Ferrari would need to take a good look at the car’s hydraulics to avoid such an incident in the future.

Certainly, Charles Leclerc would be looking to move on from this unfortunate incident. The Monegasque driver would need to shift his focus to the remaining two races of the 2023 season. However, Leclerc might have a serious conversation with the engineers at Maranello soon after the race weekend.
