Hoof!!! The 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix was a hectic affair. The event had everything an ardent follower of the sport could ask for, from chaotic crashes to drivers showcasing their prolific racing skills; it was a grand success. While everyone put on a great show, the limelight was, however, stolen by Charles Leclerc and Sergio Perez for their last-lap second-place tussle.

During the closing stages of the Las Vegas Grand Prix, Sergio Perez was leading the race but was overtaken by his teammate Max Verstappen. From then on, it was a huge tussle for second place between Perez and Leclerc for the second place in the standings.

In the final moments of the race, Sergio Perez managed to get the better of Charles Leclerc for second place but just was not able to pull away from the Monegasque driver. Leclerc, being the opportunistic driver that he is, saw an opportunity on the last lap and made a daring move on Perez.

He dived on the inside of the Red Bull driver going into a specific corner, and from that point on, it was Charles Leclerc until the chequered flag. Perez tried his best to overtake him again but, despite his best efforts, was only able to manage a third-place finish.

Charles Leclerc had a brilliant outing at the Las Vegas strip

While Charles Leclerc could not score a win in the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix, he had, without a doubt, a brilliant outing around the 6.201 km-long Las Vegas strip. Moreover, in doing so, brought big smiles to the fans of people that were in attendance for the grand event.

Leclerc started that race from the pole position but was overtaken going into Turn 1 by Max Verstappen. He was not at all happy with Verstappen’s pass on him, but as the race further developed, he kept on chipping away and, in the end, managed a well-deserved second-place finish.

With Las Vegas out of the way, the F1 carnival will now shift to the last stop on the 2023 Formula 1 calendar, the iconic Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The event would give Charles Leclerc his last opportunity to score a Grand Prix win this year.
