While the F1 world is busy in the silly season madness and making out conspiracy theories, VCARB’s Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda were seen having fun at the NFL after the car launch was done. NFL took an interview with the Australian and the Japanese drivers, and Ricciardo had an absolute time deciphering Tsunoda’s answers.

VCARB 01 was revealed yesterday in Las Vegas, with a throwback livery to their Toro Rosso days, comprised of blue and silver. The team’s driver lineup was at the venue of the Super Bowl LVIII ahead of the match that is scheduled for Monday between Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers.

They were interviewed by the NFL and it was seen in the clip that the Australian was amused by Tsunoda, who is surely a Christian McCaffrey fan. The Japanese driver’s troublesome pronunciation had made the clip iconic and it went viral due to Tsunoda’s love for McCaffrey and the Aussie’s reaction.

Ricciardo, who is a die-hard Josh Allen fan was asked to explain the rules of the NFL to his teammate. The Australian was able to just say, “basically you want to get from one end to other.” It was a hilarious explanation as while the ex-Red Bull driver is right, he has missed a ton of significant details.

Daniel Ricciardo explains about his commitment to VCARB

Fans and F1 pundits must have guessed that when the Aussie had returned home to Milton Keynes, it was for a chance at the Red Bull seat. However, after replacing Nyck De Vries, Ricciardo has taken up a leadership role within the team.

Ricciardo is an eight-time Grand Prix winner and brings much-needed experience to the Red Bull’s sister team. People have speculated about his move to the works Red Bull team but the Australian feels otherwise. He believes that it is too ahead in the future and wants to stay at VCARB and build a team that can fight every weekend.

I think when the team is able to kind of lean on me for things perhaps and my information is helping them, that feels good as well, you know, like when you're collaborating. That's a good feeling, so I'll look to be fast but use my experience when I can.
Ricciardo said, as reported by Racingnews.365.

He wants to first settle in a rhythm so that he can perform his best and make the car dance the way he wants to. A few distressing years at McLaren had shaken his confidence, so a new beginning with a clear goal would be an easy affair. The Aussie is optimistic about his 2024 season and would try to become the team leader at the newly rebranded VCARB.
