The world of motorsports is intertwined. Often drivers from different categories extend their support to one another. There are even instances of swapping the machinery between one another, such as Lewis Hamilton and Alexander Rossi exchanging their rides in 2019. Now, McLaren’s Oscar Piastri has headed to Silverstone to watch Marc Marquez in MotoGP.
Piastri was spotted at the MotoGP’s Silverstone weekend before the race started. The Australian driver was seen exchanging words with 6-time MotoGP champion Marc Marquez. The broadcasting crew could not pick up the conversation between the two. Although, the McLaren driver gave a thumbs-up to Marquez as they concluded their chat.
Marc Marquez is estimated to have a net worth of $35 Million in 2023. At the same time, Oscar Piastri has a reported Net Worth of $5 Million. The two sportspersons seemed delighted to have a chitchat before Marquez’s race at the iconic British circuit. Interestingly, Piastri had managed to qualify on the second row at the F1 British GP earlier this year.

Piastri’s arrival to the F1 grid as a full-time driver was controversial. The Australian driver decided to join McLaren to replace Daniel Ricciardo after a dramatic contract saga with Alpine. However, it seems that the 22-year-old deserved such a highly-anticipated debut. Oscar Piastri is coming to close to getting a podium on two instances this season.
The McLaren driver qualified in the top 3 at the British GP as the Woking-based team had a massive boost in performance. Unfortunately, a late safety car ruined the chances of a podium for the 22-year-old. The Australian driver even briefly led the F1 Sprint at the Belgian GP this year before inevitably finishing second behind Max Verstappen. Certainly, Piastri is one of the most exciting talents in F1 right now.
Thus, Oscar Piastri got the opportunity to attend the MotoGP weekend at Silverstone. The Australian driver had a delightful conversation with MotoGP star Marc Marquez before the start of the session. Fans would be hoping for the two sportspersons to reunite once again, perhaps with Marquez coming to see an F1 race weekend soon.
