Max Verstappen, the Red Bull prodigy driver, has become a 3-time F1 world champion at the Lusail International Circuit. Heading into the Sprint race, he only needed three points to wrap up the title, and his P2 finish did the job nicely. As the chequered flag fell yesterday, the whole Red Bull crew got out their Verstappen world champion t-shirts. Over the same, F1 reporter Ted Kravitz and the Austrian team’s boss, Christian Horner, had a hilarious conversation.
Max Verstappen has dominated the pinnacle of motor racing since the 2022 F1 season. He secured the title quite comfortably last year; the same happened during the ongoing campaign. Moreover, with his F1 title triumph on a Saturday, he has joined a very esteemed list of drivers, including his girlfriend, Kelly Piquet‘s father, Nelson Piquet.
The 25-year-old was tipped by several to become world champion in Qatar. As the Red Bull team celebrated his third F1 title triumph, Ted Kravitz got involved in a light-hearted conversation with Christian Horner, which went like this. The Sky pundit asked Horner, “Have you got an extra large one for me?” to which Horner replied, “I think XXL we got up to, so yeah, you’ll be alright.”

“Ted: “Excellent. Good. I’ll collect it later, sell it on eBay.” This conversation is pure gold and has been amassing a plethora of reactions from all over the world. Moreover, what has made the conversation ultra hilarious is Ted Kravitz’s saying, ‘I’ll sell it on eBay.’ But jokes aside, Verstappen fully deserves his 2023 F1 world championship.
Christian Horner and Co. have got a job on their hands in the form of the Qatar GP
While Max Verstappen has wrapped up the 2023 Formula 1 world championship during the Qatar Sprint race, the weekend is still not over as the main Qatar GP is still to come. Moreover, it is the event where the bulk of the points are going to be distributed among the top ten finishers. Verstappen is starting the race from the pole position.
The Dutchman with his P2 finish in the Sprint race has now taken his tally of points to a massive 407 points, and he will have a golden opportunity to add 26 more points during the upcoming Qatar GP. He has won the bulk of the races this year and Christian Horner would want to see his star driver close out the Qatar weekend on a winning note.

Moreover, considering the might of the RB19 and the fact that he is starting the event from P1, he is going to be the favorite to secure his fourteenth Grand Prix victory of the 2023 F1 season. If he manages to go into Turn 1 leading the race, the event would be pretty much done and dusted at that very moment as it is a mighty task to chase down a RB19.
