Lewis Hamilton is one of the drivers to keep an eye out during the Japanese GP. Mercedes had a rocky start to the 2024 season. Hence, the Silver Arrows need to score some points this weekend to get in the battle for the top spot. Hamilton was spotted entering the grid on his electric scooter, while having an embarrassing incident.

Lewis Hamilton is often spotted driving his electric scooter on the race circuits. The Briton was spotted tripping from the electric scooter while maneuvering through the people standing in the pit lane. Hence, it was an awkward moment for the seven-time world champion to face such a situation. Regardless, the 39-year-old was completely unhurt from the incident.

Hamilton tripped on the scooter due to the loose wire on the pit lane. The 39-year-old looked around to see if anyone noticed him involved in the incident. Subsequently, the seven-time world champion took a few steps and resumed driving the scooter.

Lewis Hamilton faced tire temperature issues in the Japanese GP

The ground-effect era struggles for Mercedes continue through the 2024 season as well. Lewis Hamilton and George Russell have scored mediocre results due to the performance gap to Red Bull. The Japanese GP was no exception to the struggles as both the drivers qualified in P7 and P9 respectively. The 39-year-old has already started facing struggles with tire temperature at Suzuka.

Lewis Hamilton told his radio engineer about the tire temperature issues that he was facing on the Suzuka circuit. The Briton mentioned that the front tires felt too hot to drive already. Brackley had put both Hamilton and Russell on hards in the early part of the race. Hence, the 39-year-old needed to manage his tires to maintain the pace.

Hamilton will need to maximize results in the disappointing challenger to join the contention for the world championship. Currently, the seven-time world champion is in shambles during his last seat with the German manufacturer. As things are, the 39-year-old would need to work hard to potentially even win a race this season.
