Lewis Hamilton is an icon. The 7-time world champion has achieved record success in Formula 1. Moreover, the 38-year-old has connected with celebrities from other sports and industries. As such, it is no wonder the British driver is often spotted with some big stars, even at race weekends. Hamilton was recently seen with Hip Hop star Kid Cudi.

A video surfaced on Twitter, where Lewis Hamilton met with Kid Cudi at the Belgian GP. The Hip Hop artist was wearing a Mercedes F1 jacket, perhaps as a guest of the Silver Arrows. The two men had smiles on their faces as they shared a warm hug. It seems that Hamilton and Cudi have a strong bond with each other amidst a controversial time for the latter.

Kid Cudi has been in the news recently. The 39-year-old has faced backlash for allegedly removing music producer Mike Dean from the Moon Man’s Landing Festival at the last moment. Dean claimed that Cudi took this decision out of jealousy. The Hip Hop star has also received rants from Kanye West. Subsequently, Kid Cudi tweeted, “I am the most hated man in hip hop right now it seems but im really one of the most blessed.”

Hamilton last won a race in Formula 1 at the 2021 Brazilian GP. The 7-time world champion has failed to stand on the top step of the podium since. Although, there has been progress at Mercedes this season, potentially opening the door for Lewis Hamilton to emerge victorious at a Grand Prix. Although, it remains a far-fetched goal, with the Silver Arrows still trailing behind championship leaders Red Bull.

On the other hand, Hamilton’s dream F1 film project is in full swing. The as-of-yet-untitled movie has a star-studded cast, including Brad Pitt and Damson Idris taking the lead roles. The project made its first appearance at a Grand Prix at Silverstone, with the fictional APXGP cars hitting the track to get realistic footage for the film.

Thus, Lewis Hamilton got to catch up with Kid Cudi at Spa-Francorchamps. The two icons shared a small conversation in the overcast weather at the Belgian circuit. Although, fans would be looking forward to seeing the two meet again in the future. Perhaps, the 7-time world champion could visit Kid Cudi at a music festival soon.
