The 2023 Formula 1 season is only a few races old, and the four-week-long break this early in the season has been a pleasant surprise for the racers. Mercedes man Lewis Hamilton is using his days away from the racetracks to spend some quality time with two of his most favorite people on Earth–his niece and his nephew. The seven-time World Champion recently posted a goofy pool-splash video on his Instagram wall to share a glimpse of his holiday with his fans.
The first three races of the season–the season opener in Bahrain, then the race in Jeddah, and finally, the Australian GP–left the fans breathless and wanting even more action. But the Melbourne race was followed by a long gap as the upcoming Azerbaijan Grand Prix is scheduled to take place during the last weekend of April. Thus, the Formula 1 grid was suddenly met with a giant break that allowed all the drivers to go to their homes and rewind before coming back to the racetrack in Baku.
Lewis Hamilton lapped up the opportunity of a long holiday to pay a visit to his niece and nephew. He has previously mentioned how he is close to them, and loves to spend quality time with them whenever he can. Given the busy schedule of the British racer, he hardly ever finds a break to be with his family, but now, Lewis has shared several pictures which suggest that he is doing exactly that during this time. In his most recent Instagram story, fans spotted him diving into the pool with his niece and nephew as he shouted, “Canonball!“
Lewis Hamilton speaks about how he values family time
Family is one of the most important things for Lewis Hamilton, and he made sure to teach this value to his fans as he took to Instagram to share a message with them. As he is currently busy spending his days with his father, Anthony Hamilton, his niece and nephew, and his other relatives, he has taken some snaps to show his fans how his days are going. He recently uploaded a video that shows his niece and nephew enjoying a calm bath while he dove into the pool, shouting, “Canonball!“, and making a perfect splash.
Only recently, Lewis also shared his thoughts on how family time is crucial. He urged hi fans to cherish their loved ones as well. On the workfront, things are going well for Hamilton as he has finally found the potential in his 2023 Mercedes car after a brief spell of disappointment in Bahrain and Jeddah.
