Lewis Hamilton in London

Lewis Hamilton recently uploaded an Instagram story with him doing a little jogging at a place near his hometown, with the words “I love London.” Hamilton was born and brought up in Charlestown, Stevenage, a place north of London, so he has had much of an influence of London in his life. Although the Brit mostly lives in Monte Carlo, and has called it “home” a couple of times, he is much more attached to London and Great Britain.

Hamilton has been a part of Mercedes for almost 10 years now; since 2013, and the team has brought him almost everything he has today; 6 World Championships and amazing race victories that has made him a true legend.

The Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 team has its headquarters in Brackley, United Kingdom, which is only a little far away from London, so obviously, Lewis has spent much time there which has enabled the team to perform how they have in the hybrid era.

The team has managed to win every single constructor’s title from 2014 till now, making it 8 championships in a row, and are one of the fastest teams to ever do that, and stand equal with McLaren and one down from Williams to ever do that. Although, this season has been tough for the team so far.

The start of the 2022 season has been particularly tough for the team after scoring podiums only in three races out of the seven that have taken place. The team has been worried about their performance this season, and much developments have been taking place in their headquarters.

So far, Lewis has managed to score only a single podium, scoring as many as 50 points, and holding onto the 6th position in the championship. His teammate, young Brit Goerge Russell has been in top 5 in all the races until now and stands 4th with 84 points.

Mercedes stand third in the constructor’s championship with 134 points.
