The Formula 1 season ended with Lewis Hamilton in the third spot in the World Championship Standings. The seven-time drivers’ title holder failed to score a single Grand Prix throughout the season. But still, it was a fruitful season for Lewis as he surpassed his teammate George Russell by scoring 69 points more than him. As his 2023 campaign has now ended, Hamilton has been paying attention to his other ventures off of the racetrack–and one of the biggest of them all is his upcoming movie for AppleTV starring Brad Pitt.
The shooting schedule for the much-anticipated movie, rumored to be named ‘Apex’, started in Silverstone with Brad Pitt appearing in his APXGP suit as he drove around Lewis’ home circuit for their movie. The camera crew was also spotted shooting some scenes at the Abu Dhabi GP. And now, they have been seen again at the Daytona International. This has shown that the film is back on track even though they had to suspend production for some time because of the SAG-AFTRA strike.
Lewis Hamilton has been very vocal about his ambitions for the movie he is making in association with AppleTV. The distributor of the project, Apple CEO Tim Cook, was present at the Silverstone GP where they were shooting some of the parts.
Also starring in the movie is Damson Idris, who will play the young prodigy Joshua Pierce. Brad Pitt’s role is named Sonny Hayes. The movie is a massive $140 million worth affair, and it is being directed by Joseph Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick).

Lewis Hamilton has always been a global superstar rather than just a big name in Formula One because of his brilliant achievements on and off the racetrack. The Briton has friends in all the high places, and this only helped him get his dream Formula 1 movie project underway as he roped in all the big Hollywood names like Brad Pitt and Joseph Kosinski. While speaking on the Apple TV movie while at the Silverstone GP last year, Lewis Hamilton sounded quite excited.

In other news, Lewis Hamilton will be seen making his go at another World Championship victory in the upcoming season. Before this, he could not get a single Grand Prix win in 2022 and 2023. But Mercedes have been rumored to be bringing a huge change to their racecar development process. It remains to be seen if Hamilton does indeed put up a brilliant performance or if his run for the F1 title gets interrupted by Red Bull racer Max Verstappen.
