Formula 1 is in the final round of the season in Abu Dhabi. The F1 grid will race for the last time this season before heading into the winter break. It seems that teams and drivers are looking to joke around before the season ends. As Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc got engaged in a sticker war between themselves at Yas Marina.

A clip surfaced on X that showed Verstappen greeting the Ferrari driver as the drivers and teams went to the grid at the Abu Dhabi GP. The Dutch driver cleverly put a Red Bull sticker on Leclerc’s back as he patted the Monegasque driver. The Red Bull sticker was placed on the Scuderia Ferrari logo of Charles Leclerc’s racing overalls.

Leclerc was informed about the Red Bull driver’s cheeky move. Subsequently, the Monegasque driver decided to retaliate as they reached the grid. Although, Charles Leclerc was not as stealthy as Verstappen. With the three-time world champion quickly grabbing the Ferrari sticker on his racing suit. Certainly, a fan way to start the day before the season finale.

Verstappen put in a stellar performance in Qualifying for the Abu Dhabi GP and clinched pole position. On the other hand, Charles Leclerc managed to take up the second spot on the grid for Sunday’s race. Although, the Monegasque driver had not expected to place his car on the front row before the session.

Now, Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc will be battling it out for the final race win of the season. The Dutch driver would be looking to take his nineteenth victory this year while Leclerc would be aiming to get his first win of 2023. Verstappen’s dominant Red Bull RB-19 is expected to have the upper hand on the Ferrari driver.

Certainly, Verstappen and Leclerc would leave no stone unturned at the season finale. Both drivers would be looking to end the season on a high note and emerge victorious at Yas Marina. As such fans would be looking to an exciting race. However, it remains to be seen if the Ferrari driver can put up a fight against the reigning world champion.
