WATCH: “More options to f**k up,” savage Max Verstappen mocks Ferrari’s strategic blunders of 2022 in his new documentary series
In a newly released doucmentary, Max Verstappen roasts Ferrari's last year strategic mishaps in brutal fashion

In recent times, Ferrari has faced harsh criticism due to their strategic mishaps during races. Last year, the team slipped from table leaders to second place, edged out by Red Bull. Even Mercedes challenged them for second place late in the season, mainly due to the team’s strategic blunders. Defending champion, Max Verstappen has also thrown mockery towards Ferrari’s strategies.
The Dutchman says on the ‘Max Verstappen, Anatomy Of A Champion’ documentary, when checking the forecast on his phone days before the 2022 Belgian Grand Prix: “Rain Friday, Saturday.” When asked if it’s “better if it’s wet, no?” he said, “More chaos. But in the dry, Ferrari has more options to f*ck up the strategies.”
Last year’s Belgian Grand Prix saw Max Verstappen emerge victorious despite starting 15th on the grid, owing to a grid penalty. Although his closest rival, Charles Leclerc, also started alongside the Dutchman in 14th position, he only managed to secure a lowly sixth place, owing to Red Bull’s exceptional performance throughout the season. Max overcame a 46-point deficit against Leclerc to win the championship by a massive 146 points.
Ferrari hoping to make strides after a sluggish season last time out

Despite Ferrari’s strong start to the previous season, their hopes were dashed due to reliability issues and poor strategic decisions. Even in the race before the Belgian Grand Prix, at the Hungaroring, Ferrari squandered an easy opportunity to clinch the win by pitting their driver with hard tires despite receiving data from other struggling teams. In contrast, Verstappen’s blistering pace saw him claim victory, despite starting in 9th position on the grid and even encountering a massive spin mid-race.
Following their dismal strategic performance last season, Ferrari overhauled their entire strategic team. They sacked the head of the strategy and even the team principal, bringing in Ravin Jain as the new head of strategy. Frederic Vasseur replaced Mattia Binotto as the new team principal.
Fans and rivals alike criticized Ferrari’s strategic mishaps last season, and Verstappen was no exception, throwing jibes at the Italian team’s inability to manage their strategies effectively. This season, Ferrari is determined to fight back with an entirely new management team. Although they currently sit fourth in the table, their bad luck has seen them suffer a nightmare run of three races.
In conclusion, Ferrari’s recent history has been plagued by poor strategic decision-making, and the team has faced a barrage of criticism from all quarters. However, they have taken decisive steps to improve by revamping their strategic team and management. It remains to be seen whether these changes will yield the desired results, but Ferrari is eager to re-establish itself as one of the top teams in Formula 1.
