According to some Spanish magazines, the two-time Formula 1 world champion Fernando Alonso and pop icon Taylor Swift are allegedly dating. The Instagram account “deuxmoi” fuelled this by posting it on their story. The rumors quickly spread like wildfire across social media platforms. The fans did not expect this crossover. The F1 community is bewildered, and the alleged “Tay-Nando” love story has spread far and wide.
These rumors have reached the ears of drivers from other racing series. NASCAR fame Bubba Wallace was recently asked to spill the tea on Alonso and Taylor Swift. However, like the rest of the F1 community, Wallace was bemused. The NASCAR star was surprised to hear about the crossover. Bubba Wallace, like others, would not have thought about this in his wildest dreams.
The 23XI Racing driver was confused, and the reporter explained it. Wallace responded, “I’ll have to get Amanda (his wife) to confirm that. She’s going to her concert in Kansas.” The interviewer further revealed some juicy details, and Wallace yelled, “ What! Good for him and good for her! damn.”
Fernando Alonso has not denied the rumors yet
The reporter also told Wallace about the meme, which said Alonso’s favourite number is “22”, and his favourite colour is “Red.” All the teams he drove for were “Never Getting Back Together” ( 22, Red, and We Are Never Getting Back Together are the names of Taylor Swift’s songs). Bubba Wallace burst out laughing at what he had just heard. He said, “Oh god, Oh Jesus. That’s awesome, that’s awesome.”
Though these are baseless rumors, the motorsports community and the “Swifties” have been talking. The parties have not confirmed or denied the rumors. It is a blank space for now. It is believed that Alonso and Swift will most likely address these rumors and deny them. Earlier this month, the Aston Martin driver announced his split with partner Amanda Schlager. A week later, there were breakup rumors about Taylor Swift and her partner Joe Alwyn. This contributed to the alleged Tay-Nando news.
Formula 1’s four-week hiatus is finally coming to an end. Fernando Alonso is busy preparing for Baku. The Aston Martin driver has three podium finishes so far. And he hopes to keep the momentum going into the Azerbaijan GP. Meanwhile, the dating rumors are spreading to the F1 paddock as well. There is a high chance Alonso would be questioned about his dating life at the Azerbaijan GP.
