Briton Oliver Bearman partook in his debut race at the Saudi Arabian GP. Bearman drove exceptionally well in his first race in Formula 1 and scored crucial points. However, the F2 driver will return to his F2 racing category as Carlos Sainz is expected to make a full recovery by the Australian GP. Hence, during an interview, the driver had an interesting answer to a question about 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Oliver Bearman was the choice to replace Carlos Sainz who was suffering from Appendicitis. The reason for this was highlighted by Fred Vasseur as other reserve drivers were focused on the LeMans Hypercar duties. Hence, Bearman achieved a P6 finish at the Saudi Arabian GP and impressed the entire paddock by racing on the street circuit within a day’s practice in the pinnacle of motorsport.

Hence, during an interview before the Saudi Arabian GP, Bearman was questioned about who he would race alongside in 24 hours of Le Mans. The 18-year-old had a clear answer to this as he explained that he would pair up with Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc as his teammates. Additionally, Bearman had a hilarious comment about the team losing because of him.

Oliver Bearman felt proud after a successful race in Saudi Arabia

The 18-year-old debutant scored major points in his first-ever race in Formula 1. Additionally, Bearman became the third youngest driver to race in Formula 1 after Max Verstappen and Lance Stroll. Hence, scoring points at the Saudi Arabian GP was a great feat for the driver. Hence, the Briton showcased his contentment with the praises that he received.

Apart from this, the F1 veterans Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso were all praises for the Debutant. Hence, Bearman displayed his satisfaction after receiving compliments from the veterans. The 18-year-old mentioned how receiving the kind words was really nice. Apart from the veterans, Max Verstappen also praised the driver.

For them to say these kind words was really nice – especially the older guys like Fernando and Lewis.

Bearman added.

Teammate Charles Leclerc also praised the debutant for the great results. Hence, Ferrari would now prepare to race alongside Carlos Sainz as he would return to the team. Maranello has been showcasing great and stable results up till now. As a result, time will tell about how the season’s end is for the Italian Constructor in Formula 1.
