“We are only just halfway,” Christian Horner ‘worried’ after Ferrar’s resurgence in recent races

Christian Horner the Red Bull team Principal has recently given his opinion of the Championship this season and feels that Ferrari’s performances in the last few races have got his team on its toes.
Red Bull had quite a decent gap between themselves and Ferrari, but that advantage has somewhat vanished in the last few races. Carlos Sainz took the victory in Silverstone whereas on Red Bull’s home turf, in Austria, Charles Leclerc snatched the victory away from Max Verstappen.
The recent resurgence in the form of the Maranello-based team has helped them in closing the gap in both the Championships. However, Red Bull’s starlet Max has been in blistering form this season and after 11 rounds have already got 6 race wins to his name.

As things stand, Max has a lead of 38 points over Charles Lelclec but Christian Horner is convinced that the Italian outfit is going to make it really difficult for them to hold on to their leads in both the Drivers as well as the Constructors Championship.

Christian Horner does not want to fall behind in the Championship

Ferrari is on an upward trajectory at the moment and Christian Horner and Co. are aware of the threat and do not want to drop down to second place in the Championship.
Ferrari breezed past the competition in Austria on the back of their superior race pace and the Brit believes, for Red Bull, the upcoming 11 rounds are going to be about staying focused on the tough task at hand.
“We are only just halfway through the championship and things are fluctuating quite a bit.”
“There is still an awfully long way to go. It’s frustrating from a constructor’s position, but Ferrari had its own problems.”

Red Bull is ahead in both Championships at the moment and this has led to increasing the anxiety 10 folds in the Red Bull garage, being the team in the lead, the pressure is more on them as compared to Ferrari.
It is one thing to get in the lead in Formula One, however, maintaining that lead is a whole different story. Ferrari is going to come hard at Red Bull in the upcoming races and starting from the French Grand Prix onwards, it is going to be fascinating to see how the Milton-Keynes-based team is going to fend off the challenge of the two red-blood Ferrari.
