Charles Leclerc was on top of the timing charts at the end of the FP2 session on Friday and during the post-practice interviews, he indicated that the Ferrari team has still got a bit of work on its hands.

Ferrari and Charles Leclerc haven’t had the best of luck in the last few races and the upcoming Dutch Grand Prix holds massive significance for them in their fight against Red Bull.

Moreover, the Dutch GP is the home race for Max Verstappen and the Maranello-based team certainly is looking to spoil the party of the thousands of fans that would be supporting the 24-year-old on Sunday.

Charles after Friday’s Practice has got a fair idea as to where the team stands in terms of car balance, and while talking about the same Leclerc said, “The balance was really tricky, quite a lot of understeer. At the exit, it’s quite snappy as the car didn’t rotate enough through the corner. We need to work on that, there will be little overtaking so we are pushing for qualifying.”

The Monegasque has pointed to the lack of overtaking opportunities at Zandvoort and has declared that the team’s main focus is going to be on qualifying so that they are in decent shape for the race.

Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc have been at each other’s throats throughout the 2022 F1 season and their battle can again prove to be a feisty affair in Zandvoort.

Max would want nothing less than a win in front of his home fans and, considering how sharp the Dutchman has been this season, he is going to make Leclerc’s life extremely difficult.

Moreover, overtaking has always been an issue in Zandvoort and as Leclerc indicated, qualifying is going to be extremely crucial for the drivers.
