“We are stronger than others,” Max Verstappen issues a ‘frightening’ statement to the Tifosi ahead of the Italian GP

The king of Zandvoort, Max Verstappen, has his eyes set on handing a crushing defeat to Ferrari in their home race. The Flying Dutchman has literally been flying on the race with the chasing pace finding it next to impossible to stop this juggernaut. Dutch GP, because of its high downforce specifications, presented a decent opportunity for the likes of Ferrari and Mercedes to make some ground on Red Bull.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t the case to be as Max Verstappen won the Dutch GP to make it 4 in a row. Everyone expected a slip up from Red Bull because of the layout of the track at Zandvoort. The RB-18, which is more suitable to tracks with longer straights, was supposed to struggle around the circuit of Zandvoort which is filled with high to medium speed corners.
But, Super Max was having none of it as he registered his 10th win of the season and stretched his lead to 109 points at the top of the championship. This was a statement win as everyone anticipated Red Bull to play catch on a circuit not suitable to the design of the car. The Tifosi must be trembling at this thought especially when Monza is up next.
Max Verstappen wishes to put the final nail in Ferrari’s coffin in their own backyard

Max Verstappen is not shying away from publicly speaking his mind out. Ahead of the much awaited Italian GP, Max warned the Tifosi saying, ”Not real weaknesses but we know at some places where we are stronger than others, we know on a high downforce track that it’s a bit of a more difficult situation to get the best out of our package.”
”I think if you look at the whole season, of course, you have more tracks with kind of medium downforce levels and I think our car is very efficient.”
“So that’s why I think we’re all looking forward to Monza,” as reported by gpblog.
Max Verstappen has definitely been the one to beat this season. Charles Leclerc has come close but nowhere close enough. This is something the Monegasque driver would want to change at Monza.
