“We expect them to be quick,” Christian Horner wary of Mercedes’ threat in the upcoming French GP

Christian Horner and the Mercedes W13
After the tough season that Mercedes has faced, Red Bull and Ferrari have been dominating the sport. Christian Horner has been joyful about this, but at the same time he thinks that the Silver Arrows could be back again.
The main issue that Mercedes have faced is the violent bouncing of the car, which has made them lose a lot of points early in the season. Porpoising affected almost all the teams, but Merc were the ones to be hit the most. One of the races even saw Lewis Hamilton not making it into Q3 for the quali session. This left many fans in distress.

But it cannot be denied that the team didn’t hold back, George Russell kept scoring for the team, and now, after Lewis’ 4th podium this year in Austria, it seems clear that the team is making their comeback, and Horner seems to be sure about this. They have been consistent with scoring points, no matter how slow their car was, which has secured them 3rd place in the championship as of now.
Horner also stated that in the past few races, the team showed no signs of bouncing, making their comeback inevitable.
Christian Horner expects Mercedes to be faster in France

Mercedes is a team with incredible engineers, racers, and a team principal like Toto Wolff, make them amazing, and they have been working all the time to make the most out of the cars, and now they seem to be succeeding. “We expect them [Mercedes] to be quick in [Paul] Ricard. They’re showing flashes of they being there. The last two races have been really decent for them and there has been no sign of any porpoising at all. They seem to be slowly bringing themselves back into the game,” GPblog quoted Horner. He also stated that it would be exciting and fun to have 3 teams competing for the championship.
The team stands 3rd in the championship with 237 points, which is a comfortable lead on McLaren, chasing them with a mere 81 points.
