“We have very little information,” Sergio Perez faced with a challenge as he hopes to secure a home victory at the 2022 Mexican GP
Sergio Perez
Hailing from Guadalajara in Mexico, Sergio Perez is one of the most talented and experienced drivers on the 2022 F1 grid. Having started his career with Sauber, the Mexican driver further advanced in his career as he shifted to McLaren and them to Force India which is known as Aston Martin in their present day operations. After a distasteful exit from the team, the veteran became a part of Red Bull racing since 2021.
From the day that he was signed, the Mexican has shown his worth and made it clear that he is the right guy for the job. Perez has managed to help the team in various occasions with their recent achievement being winning the constructors championship. Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez managed to accomplish this feat in what has to be the most successful car in the team’s history, all thanks to Adrian Newey.
As the Red Bull driver approaches his home race, he has been tackling a few issues. With FP1 and FP2 over, it was difficult as the times weren’t representative when it came to car performance. With multiple juniors taking part in FP1 and Pirelli tyre tests in FP2, it was obviously hard to determine the pace. However, Sergio Perez managed to finish ahead of his teammate in both the sessions. Here is what he had to say about his runs.

Sergio Perez is aiming for his first home grand prix victory
Here is what the Mexican drive had to say about his sessions so far. “It makes it a little bit more difficult as there are a lot of unknowns again, similar to last weekend,” Perez said. “We have very little information, but from what we tried; everything was working okay. Let’s see what we can do come qualifying tomorrow,” the Red Bull driver driver said ahead of his FP3 outing.
This is the best chance that Sergio Perez could get until now to emerge victorious at his home race in Mexico. Last year during an intense title battle, Max Verstappen passed the two Mercedes’s at turn one and went on to win the race while Sergio Perez also stood on the podium in 3rd place. Things could get spicy tomorrow as we approach the highest altitude qualifying session in the Formula 1 calendar. It’s all to play for.
