Red Bull and Max Verstappen were expected to be the runaway winners of the champion this year after an incredible end to the last year. But Ferrari had other plans as they have been quick off the blocks and have demolished the competition. Charles Leclerc, in particular, has brought his A game to the table and his pace has looked scary especially after his incredible drives in Australia and Bahrain.

Red Bull and Max Verstappen have had their fair share of reliability issues which have already costed them a bagful of points in the first three races. The Honda and Red Bull relationship has worked so well for the Austrian team in the past has not worked out this season around. There have been a handful of issues regarding the engine which forced Max Verstappen to retire both in Bahrain and Australia.

The onus is on Red Bull to bounce back from what happened in Australia. But, on the other hand, we also know Red Bull has everything in their arsenal to produce a competitive car. Red Bull might be down but he’s not out and he will try his level best to strike back as soon as possible. Max Verstappen would want it to happen sooner rather than later.

It seems like his wishes have been answered as Helmut Marko has clarified that Red Bull will go all in at the Australian GP. He said, “We have decided that we will go on full attack and take risks. Even if it only works halfway, we will use an update.

We are not accountants. It will be difficult, but we will take that risk,” as reported by gpblog.

Christian Horner also gave an update on Max Verstappen’s hunger to win. He said, ““Although the Dutchman achieved his big goal of winning the world championship, I saw no rest in Verstappen for the time being.”

Ferrari will have to step it up or to say maintain the incredible standards set by them in the first few races. But it’ll be interesting to see how Red Bull responds after lagging behind in the first 3 races.
