Mercedes are winning hearts on the internet after their beautiful reply to one of Lewis Hamilton’s fans on Twitter. We know that there have been some pathetic incidents that have happened in the last few weeks, therefore, this comes as a breath of fresh air. We have seen incidents involving racism and homophobia which had shown F1 in a pretty bad light.

It all started with Nelson Piquet racist remark against Lewis Hamilton. The three time world champion called Lewis the N-word. This was then followed up with a homophobic slanderous comment during a podcast. We had another incident recently which showed one of the ex Aston Martin employees coming out and talked about the horrific behavior he received because of his color during his time with the team.

In this situation, Mercedes has restored faith in humanity. One of Lewis Hamilton’s enthusiasts has recently revealed that he is suffering from cancer and that his doctors had told him that he has 1-3 months left. Despite that, he continues to fight. Mercedes, after reading the news, thanked him for all his support over the year and offered to help him out in every way possible.

He also thanked his fans, “Thank you all for the love you have all shown me over the past few days – I fear this is soon to be the end so I just wanted to say please just be kind, treat people with respect, everybody has their own battles.”

Mercedes reacted after getting to know the sad news, “We’d love to try and pay you back for all of your support in some way, could you please let us know where you live/are based? Thank you.”
