“When we were young,” FIA tease a potential F1 documentary featuring Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton

Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc
Fans were left struggling with what to think as the FIA posted a cryptic teaser about what one can only guess is a video about Formula 1 drivers’ childhood, their dreams and aspirations, etc. No one has really been able to figure out to a tee what the post is really about, and guesses range from a music video, a ‘fancam’ etc.
Some fans even mused that it was an Adele music video, or even a Christmas ad. It is also just as likely that the teaser is pointing to a potential documentary featuring at least Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton, the two drivers that were in the images attached with the tweet the FIA posted.
Generally, people were confused as to what to think about the ‘teaser’, as fans struggled to figure out what the tweet was teasing. The tweet itself contains four images, all with blurred lights in the background. The first image contained the words ‘When We Were Young’, and the second had Lewis Hamilton smiling and looking downwards. The third picture was of Charles Leclerc with the words “I’m gonna be a Formula 1 driver.” and a fourth of someone holding a model kart.
Mercedes in French Grand Prix victory contention?

Mercedes’ pace has generally been up and down this season, but it has been much closer to the top two teams in the past two races. In Silverstone, Lewis Hamilton seemed a genuine contender for the victory as he was chasing down the Ferraris, but a safety car potentially took it away from him.
In Austria, both Mercedes crashed while pushing hard during qualifying, and it did seem as if they were competing for pole position. Unfortunately, their crashes meant that George Russell would start 4th, and Hamilton only 10th. Then in the sprint race, Hamilton was stuck behind Mick Schumacher for a very long time, preventing his advancement, and thus starting a disappointing 8th.
To add to their problems, Russell made contact with Sergio Perez on the first lap, which gave him a 5-second time penalty that he served on a fairly early pit stop. Mercedes have always been stronger during the races, and they proved that yet again, with Hamilton finishing on the podium for the third race in a row, and Russell finishing just behind him in fourth.
Christian Horner has already said that he expects Mercedes to be quick in France, the circuit itself is fairly smooth as well, which will help with any potential bouncing, but it does seem that Mercedes have gotten on top of the porpoising and bouncing for the most part anyway. The return of Mercedes is an exciting prospect for fans of the Silver Arrows.
