Which is the earliest race that Max Verstappen can win the 2022 F1 title?

Max Verstappen

Max Verstappen has secured yet another victory and this time at his home Grand Prix. The race at Zandvoort this evening was filled with excitement, drama and thrilling overtakes. At one point it seemed, the win was going to be snatched away from Max’s hands but the right strategy by Red-Bull prevented this tragedy from occurring.

This the second time since the Zandvoort circuit was brought back to the F1 calendar last year, that Max Verstappen has secured a victory here. Currently no driver on the grid has a victory at Zandvoort making Max ‘The King Of Zandvoort.’ With the victory at the Dutch Grand Prix, the 24 year old driver has secured his 30th career win.

Max Verstappen is currently at the top of the driver standings with a lead of 109 points to his championship rival Charles Leclerc. This is a humongous gap between the two and if Verstappen ends up winning the Italian Grand Prix, he would only need to a win at the Singapore Grand Prix to become the Formula 1 champion this year.

Have Ferrari handed the championship to Max Verstappen?

The 2022 season started wonderfully with the Ferrari driver, Charles Leclerc securing a win in the very first race of the season at the Bahrain Grand Prix. Initially, during the first few races it felt like it was going to be a heated championship battle between Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc.

However, as the season continued, several factors contributed to Ferrari’s downfall, causing the championship to leave their grasp. The main factors contributing to their losses were, botched strategy calls, pit-stop errors and driver errors. These repetitive errors have caused Ferrari’s downfall and caused the championship to slip out of the grasp of their hands.

This in turn has led the very consistent Red-Bull and their lead driver Max Verstappen the chance to pick up the pieces and get a huge lead in the Constructors as well as the driver’s championship. Red-Bull currently have a 135 point lead in the Constructors championship and their lead driver, Max has a lead of 109 points in the driver’s championship.
