“Who knows, it could happen again,” Otmar Szafnauer believes Alpine can win again in Hungary

Otmar Szafnauer the Alpine team Principal has given his thoughts on returning to Hungary and feels that the team can win again if certain things turn out in their favor during the race.
Alpine is currently on a good run of form during which the team has managed to overtake McLaren in the Constructor’s standings. Moreover, with Budapest up next, the Alpine outfit is extremely optimistic about pulling off another good result considering they won the race in 2021.
Otmar who was not with Alpine last year while talking about the upcoming race said, “It’s very exciting to return to Budapest, the scene of the team’s first victory under the Alpine name. At the time, I was at the competition, and I remember a fascinating race. I was extremely happy that Esteban won, proof that you can never say never in Formula 1.”
“That’s what makes this sport so fantastic. Anything can happen, and to be successful, you must always never give up.”
Otmar has stated that he was extremely happy for Esteban last year and feels that the unpredictability of the sport is what makes F1 a must-see sport.

Otmar Szafnauer believes Alpine can do something special again in Hungary
The race in Hungary in 2021 was a chaotic race where Ocon was able to come out unscathed during the huge incident of the first lap and from then onward was able to deliver a superb win for the team.
Otmar while talking about winning again in Hungary said, “Who knows, it could happen again… We will strive to be able to seize any potential opportunity that may come our way this weekend.”
“The team will appreciate his return to Hungary, which will bring back good memories.”
Last year, no one was expecting Alpine to win in Hungary but they were still able to do it and Otmar Szafnauer feels if situations like 2021 take place again, then they will certainly be up there to pick up the pieces and go for the win.
Moreover, Esteban Ocon and Fernando Alonso are driving really well for the team and this has given Alpine the extra motivation to do something spectacular again at the Hungaroring.
