Logan Sargeant, the rookie Williams F1 driver, has had a disappointing 2023 F1 season. Alex Albon has outperformed him at every race, and the latest addition to the growing list was last week’s Dutch GP. Sargeant came away with a DNF, and seeing his never-ending struggles, the Williams F1 team is getting quite impatient.
The ongoing campaign is 14 rounds down, and Logan Sargeant is yet to score his first points of the season. While he is struggling to get off the mark, his teammate, on the other hand, has performed exceptionally well and managed 15 points in a lackluster Williams 2023 F1 machinery.
Seeing that all the points scoring for the Wantage-based team come from only one end, its Team Principal, James Vowels, has hinted that time is slowly running out for the American driver. The Brit is willing to give Sargeant a bit more time but expects ‘his speed of learning’ to increase significantly in the coming races.
“The pace of learning has to pick up now. He is aware of all this, and I think he is already very mature for his age. He knows that he has a career and a journey ahead of him that he can control himself. And our job is to support him on this path instead of punishing him,” Vowels said after the Dutch GP, as reported by Motorsport Total.com.
The Dutch GP was a good chance for Logan Sargeant to showcase his skills, as the Williams car proved quite effective at the Zandvoort circuit. However, to the disappointment of Vowels and Co., he could not perform as per expectations and even put FW45 into the wall during the qualifying session of the event.

Logan Sargeant will have another good opportunity to showcase his skills at the Italian GP
While Logan Sargeant has been under the pump for his dismal F1 performances, his best chance of turning his season around could be this week’s race at the famous Autodromo Nazionale F1 circuit. The track is known as the ‘Temple of Speed’, and considering that the FW45 is quite pacey in straight lines, it could prove to be Sargenat’s best opportunity.
The Williams F1 team has got one of the best cars on the 2023 grid when it comes to running in straight lines and Monza is the kind of track that allows the drivers to go full-throttle for most of the 5.793 km long track. The upcoming race is Sargeant’s chance to finally get off the mark at the pinnacle of motor racing.
However, it will not be like a walk in the park for him as the team’s drivers would also be keen to make a mark in front of the world-renowned Tifosi army. The Italian GP is shaping up to be a tremendous event, and several eyes will be on Logan Sargeant’s exploits at the Monza circuit.
