Red Bull at Zandvoort
Zandvoort’s organisation are set to bring some strict rules ahead of misconduct previously seen by Dutch fans in the Austrian GP. Robert van Overdijk, circuits General manager earlier came up with a regulation to remove the participants from the ground. Jan Lammers countered this new term marking it as “nonsense”.
Jan Lammers, a former F1 driver, spoke with RTL Nieuws, where is completely disagreed with the terms Zandervoot’s organisation came up with. He said he believed the Dutch fans and their common sense and came up with a surety to no reputation of what happened in the Austrian GP. Dutch Fans in Red Bull Ring came out to be worse than the British fans in Silverstone.
“The positive Dutch fans are going to get the rotten apples out. think that is total nonsense because you can just trust the common sense of the people. You can address them on their personal responsibility. Last year they behaved fantastically,” said Jan.
Jan Lammers calls out Zandvoort’s ban on alcohol
Austrian GP had people drunk with excess alcohol, which was used as an excuse by many over the misbehaviour they came up with. People were reported with cases of harassment, racism and abuse, mainly because they came out to be fans of Lewis Hamilton.
“Of course [we are looking into that]. We will deal with that as carefully as possible,” said Jan Lammers on banning beers around the Zandervoot circuit.
Zandvoort is again going to be a hot topic with all cameras on how the public is going through the race weeks. Many drivers came out to speak about the misconduct in Austria including Max Verstappen. Dutch GP being his home race could also see strict rules over any breakage of laws.
