“You’ve to work hard for envy,” Guenther Steiner hits back following allegations against the ‘White Ferrari’ of Haas

Haas’ improvement this season isn’t news to anyone. After staying a back-marker for the entire last season, the Ferrari-powered team is making strides in the mid-field and has so far had impressive runs.
Haas and Ferrari, both the teams have made spectacular improvements compared to last year’s versions. This improvement has, however, attracted few doubts from other teams, as it is reported that few teams have approached FIA over the partnership between the two.
Haas has been accused of copying Ferrari’s design this year and other commonalities as well. The American team operates near the Ferrari factory in Maranello but Guenther Steiner, Haas’ boss, has denied any infringement of rules.
Guenther Steiner has hit back amidst the rumors and namecalling of Haas as the ‘White Ferrari.’ As quoted by PlanetF1, he said, “You know, these allegations have always existed and always will. I stay calm. If we are good, they call our car a ‘white Ferrari’. If we are bad, then no. I’m starting to find that ridiculous.”
He concluded, “You have to work hard for envy. You get pity for free. I wish the others would be green with envy because that means we did a very good job.”
Guenther Steiner is happy with the new regulations
This season of F1 has brought major changes in regulations. The new cars have enforced freshness on the track and everybody seems to be happy with the progress, including Guenther Steiner.
According to Steiner, the new rules have exceeded expectations. He said, “The cars look interesting, they’re all different, but they can all be competing. At the moment it seems that some cars are better for one race track, some are better for another. I think the new rules have over-delivered. And not as a negative, but it’s a very competitive championship this year and you need to be perfect to get points.”
Although Haas had a disappointing weekend in Australia, they are hopeful of finding more pace going to Italy. They currently stand P7 in the constructors’ championship, engaged in a close battle with Alfa Romeo.
